1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing, creating an account on, or utilizing Spectra (“the Platform”, “we”, “us”), operated by ARS Labs, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our accompanying Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, you must discontinue use of the platform immediately.
2. Educational Purpose & AI Evaluation Disclaimer
Spectra provides simulated technical and behavioral mock interview sessions powered by advanced artificial intelligence models.
- Educational Tool Only: All numerical scores (0–100), question critiques, performance breakdowns, and coaching suggestions are generated algorithmically for practice and personal growth.
- No Guarantee of Employment: Performance scores on Spectra do not guarantee job offers, hiring decisions, interview callbacks, or specific career outcomes with any prospective employer.
- Algorithmic Variance: While calibrated with structured rubrics, AI evaluations may contain subjective nuances. They should be treated as guidance rather than definitive assessments of your engineering ability.
3. Copyright & Intellectual Property Ownership

The Spectra platform, including its software code, proprietary scoring algorithms, prompt architecture, question banks, brand identity, user interface designs, and digital assets, are the exclusive intellectual property of ARS Labs and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and trade secret laws.
Candidate Content: You retain ownership of the original text answers, verbal explanations, and thoughts you submit during interviews. By submitting content for evaluation, you grant Spectra and ARS Labs a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to process, transcribe, and analyze your submission solely for the purpose of delivering your diagnostic scoring and feedback report.
4. Quotas, Cooldown & Fair Usage Policy
To ensure fair access to AI computing resources and maintain high platform availability for all candidates on free tiers:
- 5-Hour Session Cooldown: Standard candidate accounts are limited to one interview session per 5-hour interval. A real-time countdown timer is visible in the application navigation.
- Anti-Abuse Protections: Attempting to circumvent the cooldown timer via automated scripting, multi-accounting, or exploit payloads constitutes a violation of these terms and may result in immediate account suspension.
5. Rolling History Storage Policy
To maintain database efficiency on free-tier infrastructure, candidate accounts are allocated storage for their 5 most recent interview sessions.
When a candidate completes a 6th interview, the system automatically cycles out and permanently deletes the oldest session and its associated question attempts from the database. Candidates may review or export their key feedback takeaways before starting subsequent interviews.
6. Prohibited Conduct
Users agree not to:
- Submit content containing hate speech, harassment, sexually explicit material, or malicious code.
- Attempt prompt-injection attacks designed to alter system instructions or extract proprietary system prompts.
- Scrape, reverse-engineer, or systematically duplicate the question bank for commercial distribution.
